updated documentation request from CHC
 

We are planning to emmigrate to the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island and are awaiting our PR (skilled worker). In Sept 06 they informed us that due to processing delays we have a delay til Oct 07 ! but this week CHC have asked us to submit our updated documentation by 8/2 so they can process our application. Does anyone know from past experience if this means they will be looking at our file in Feb 07 ???? or still Oct 07. Many thanks

Who knows? I got a June 2007 delay letter, but then they asked for updated information by the middle of November 2006, and I just got a request for medicals this morning while some people who applied months before me are still waiting.

I think it's pretty much a lottery as to when you get a response, but obviously they are processing some people not long after they update documents.

Hi the only advice i can give you is..... We recieved a request for updated police cert/ kids photo's last january, we recieved medical requests in March and i know lots had the same sort of experience. All you can do really, is be prepared . :)

It does seem to vary somewhat, we received request for medicals and updated police certificates at the same time. There were no requests for any other paperwork although we all had to get more photos done.
This was in July 2006 and we applied July 2004.

What is your timeline? I am also in Worthing we applied in April '05 have not received a delay letter as yet.

We applied in Jan 2005 and were quoted 21 months ie Sept 06 ! in Sept we were told we would then hear Oct 07 but then had the letter to update our file by Feb. When are you supposed to hear ?

Where abouts in Worthing are you ? we're on Salvington Hill, where are you hoping to live in Canada ?

We have also met up with another family in Worthing who applied Aug 04 they heard Oct and had their meds in Nov now they're just waiting for their visas

Although we are a few months behind you - applied Oct 05 we live just up the road in Storrington, the better half teaches at Worthing High!

Yep = for better(the place) or for worse(the cost) we are moving to Whistler, BC.

The Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, we'll have a mini Whistler 1/2 hour up the road at Mt Washington

Nice.

Vancouver Island is the main place we have yet to visit, but friends in West Van say it is beautiful and quite relaxed/quiet. We plan to take an extened holiday (several months) starting next November to wait out a bit more time and get in a season on the snow.

We are Ladydell Road and are heading for Ontario. We're not expecting to hear anything until at least April'07 but if it happens sooner then it's a bonus

we had an aor 13 jan 05..got our 90 day letter 8 dec...sent of our request for updated police checks from devon and cornwall police..before xmas..got a reply saying our requst has been sent to new scotland yard and would take at least 2 months...this never happened when we did our original requests back in 2004..anyone else had a similar experience?????
