Default TWP versus PR

Hi all, Can anyone tell me if there is any conflict between aTWP and a PR visa. We started the whole 'PR visa application' ball rolling back in 2006. Late last year i was lucky enough to be offered a job in NS. The LMO has just come through so we were planning on applying for TWPs because there's no telling when (or if) the PR visas will arrive. Not wanting to lose the job by not being eligible for entry.

Hence the question about conflict between the two. Is there any reason why we can't apply for both? Would that break any rules?

Go ahead and apply for the TWP. Having one may well speed up your PR too. In NS you might also get selection under the PNP if you apply.
