Default TWP Questions

If offered a position in Canada does the employer have any involvement in the TWP paperwork?

How long does it take to get TWP?

Thank you

Hey Kat

Hows the recce going your not back yet are you?

AFAIK you apply for the TWP without any input from the employer but you cant apply without LMO which the employer has to do on your behalf.

I think its about 4 weeks for TWPs at the moment from what other people have been posting.

Cheers

I've just come back from Alberta, where I was told by an immigration lawyer that TWP's are taking around 7-8 months*. Apparently, for other provences its much less, but it seems the provence will make a huge difference to the waiting time.

*although he commented that he'd just had one approved in 4 months...

Hey Jericho

It obviously depends how you measure the timescale, if you are including the time to get an LMO then I would agree it would be months. There have been a number of posters here getting TWPs in weeks from applying to London. I would note they were mostly Nurses. I'm not sure there is a fast track for Nurses in the TWP process.

I am not including time to get LMO as this varies quite considerably between jobs and employers.

Cheers
