TWP query - lived in other country during past 5 years
Hi,
On the TWP application form it asks:
"During the past five years have you or any family member accompanying you lived in any other country than your country of
citizenship or permanent residence for more than six months?"
I did a working holiday visa to Australia within the last 5 years.
I was there for more than 6 months, but does anyone know what "lived" means?
As I wasn't a resident there, but on a working holiday. Do I need to put this on the form?
Thanks!

Yes you do! you did "live there" as in - you didn't fly back to Britain daily and return to OZ the next morning!!!!!! (I know thats impossible)
They will probably be requiring police checks or something like that if thats the case from OZ. If not now if you're applying for a TWP they certainly will do for your pr app.

Thanks for the help!
I have emailed the Australian Federal Police to see about getting a police check done, in case its needed in the future.
Hopefully they have some record of me being there

Strewth mate, you'll probably be needing to read this:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa.../australia.asp
Bonzer!
Although usually people don't need police certs for a TWP.

Crikey!
Would they even have my fingerprint on the database for a working holiday visa?
I don't remember giving one, but that link states a full fingerprint and name check to be provided.

I am not an expert, but I think they would be checking the fingerprints with the database they have, to see if there is any criminal record. If you have a clean reord, then your fingerprints may not show up.
