Default TWP, Pregnancy and PR Visas

I just wanted to pose a hypothetical question - it may be useful to someone else and perhaps me in the future.

If I were in Canada on a Study Permit and my spouse was on an Open Work Permit doing a NOC Level B job, she had one year's experience received a permanent job offer and applied for FSW2 under 82(2)(b). If during the FSW2 processing she became pregnant and had to go onto maternity leave would she still be eligible for the PR visa, provided she was only on leave and had not quit the position?

I realise there is a slight caveat with pregnancy in that the medical has to be delayed until after the birth though.
