Default TWP post-medical processing question

Hello,

I've completed my medicals on the 28th of Oct and sent my passport back to CHC New Delhi on the 4th of Nov. I have a couple of questions:

1. Is the bulk of the processing done before or after the medicals?

2. Does anyone know of any cases where an application was refused after the medical for non-medical reasons? Thanks!!

It

Yes bulk of processing is done or expected to be done shortly when medicals are issued.
Cases can be refused at any time in the process but it is rare once the medical instructions have been issued.

Thanks for your response! They will have had my medical results for a week come tomorrow. So I'm guessing there's a good chance of me getting a positive decision this coming week.

Well, in fact I think you will need to be a bit more patient - think one to two months or so.

I've been led to believe that the timelines are different here in India for the TWP. Even though on the cic website it says it takes 2 months, VFS Global, the agency contracted by the CHC to collect applications in India say it takes a minimum of 20 working days. I got my medical request a mere 6 days after I first submitted my application, while other members of the forum (presumably in the UK) said it took a month for the medical request to come once they submitted their application.

You were right. At the end of this week, they will have had my passport for 3weeks, after the completion of my medicals. Still no news.

I just received a staus alert on my passport stating that it has been released by the CHC in New Delhi. It's being couriered back to me. So, I should have it in the next day or two. That will mean the whole TWP process has taken just over 6 weeks.

Keeping my fingers crossed for an approval!!
