Yes if he is looking for full time work. Is he going onto post secondary education or just finishing school and not going to Uni etc.
When does your TWP expire?

Hi thanks for the promt response. We've got 18 months on the TWP left. He just wants a summer job then back into education. Not full time a few days a week/evening. I will be sure to check the link thanks.

It will depend on the TWP holder's Skill Level.

See here for more info, if you (or your OH, whoever is the TWP holder) is Skill Level A, O or B, then your son can get an open work permit once he's 18.

Hi, his study permit has another 18 months. We have a PR skilled worker application in process. I have a full time job whilst on TWP and continued employment in fact job offers all over the place. CIC quoted 6 months but now its 11 for PR ( guidlines).

Thanks again

Just called CIC and was told my son would have to have a job offer and LMO!
He only wanted a summer part time job. If he was 18 he can have an open work permit off my TWP but this option ends tomorrow. Guess we will just have to wait for our PR.

The option still applies for children aged between 18 and 22 if your job is in NOC 0, A, or B. See today's Operational Bulletin

Thanks First choice, but he is 17! I think the issue we have is he already finnished schooling in the UK. He went back into high school here and he graduates this year but maybe he should have been in a lower grade and graduate next year. Hopefully our PR will be through at the end of summer and we can finally settle.
