Default TWP at the border

I was wondering if anyone has applied for a TWP at the USA/Canada border where they needed proof of medicals?
I am a Provincial Nominee living in NS for the last 3 months with my daughter - rest of family still in UK. (Just waiting for passport request for PR)
I called the Federal CIC in Canada to check if my medicals had been forwarded to London office - which they had. I asked about a TWP and was told I could just go to the border with my documentation/fee and file no. and tell them I had spoken to her and my medical was done.
I am worried that I will be refused entry on my return to Canada.
Advice would be greatly appreciated.
