No problem but don't get married before you land, if you are single.

It is not "how the western world..." - it is about what is happening with
most Indian fellows after they get visas as per tons of questions being posted here almost every week. If you browse through past few years of posts you'll find hundreds of questions from Indian guys who just got their visas and are asking how they can bring their new wives with them to Canada. Jim was simply making sure that original poster is aware of the problem and will not become one of those asking the same question. -- ../.. I went on to realize that folks in the western world had gotten used to this concept of indian-origin people leaving for a quick trip, and suddenly showing up with someone in tow ... Oh well :) > posted here almost every week. Yup. I've been lurking here for a decent bit of time, actually ... > Jim was simply making sure that original poster is aware of the problem and > will not become one of those asking the same question. Oh, absolutely. I had no reason to doubt Jim's intentions :) --ravi. |

Ravi is right !
We can't blame the "westerners" for having this impression because so often it is true ! Oh well, I hope this thread was only in a lighter vein and nobody was offended or anything.
