Travel document Questions
we Landed in Canada on early March, 2002 as immigrants and we left
Canada at the end of March 2002 (stayed two weeks), now we don't have
PR card and unfortunately we might not get chance to come back to
Canada before April, 2004.
I would like to know if we apply for Travel Document in which
circumstance , the officer might won't issue the Travel Document for
us.
Thanking you,

Only if it is determined that you lost PR status.

How it will be determined?
We became PR 18th months back and according to PR residency
obligation we can out side canada 3 years in total in every 5 years
period. When we will come back to Canada it will be only 2 years that
we stayed out side Canada.
Andrew Could you please be more specific in which circumstances It
might be determined that we lost our PR status?
Thanking you,

Re: Travel document Questions
If you don't meet (or cannot meet anymore) 2/5 residency obligations then
officer in visa post abroad may make determination of loss of status.

As I understood that person who landed in March 2002, there is no way
he could lose his resident status by April 2004-there is no reason not
to issue the travel document.
