Re: timescales for PNP/ Pr applications from outside Canada
Rather than keep asking about insurance or licence matters on this thread, could I please ask that a separate thread be started and that this thread returns to questions dealing with the original topic of "Timescales for PNP/PR applications from outside Canada".
Thanks.

Driver record - £5, as they said.
But no-one asked me for it. They DID ask for copies of UK license so just make sure keep photocopies if you exchange for an NS one.

Hi,
Just thought i would let you all know that CBSA let us in on a 6 month visitor record without any issues while we wait for the last part of the PR process. We did not have any issues with our one way flight and just showed CBSA our application paper work to date. We did have an interview but all was very relaxed, very friendly and helpful
Now we just need a PPR
Thanks to Former Lancastrian for all is help and guidance
Now its time for Tims
Regards
Andrew

Funnily enough, after all the threats that they would never, ever let anyone on with a one-way ticket, Iceland Air didn't even see our PR papers nor even question it. For all they knew we had no visa at all and were just going to overstay. They just looked at British passports, one way ticket and checked us in.
Enjoy your Tim's and what's left of the summer - and here's hoping the rest of the process goes smoothly.

Re: timescales for PNP/ Pr applications from outside Canada
Hi all,
Our first morning in Brandon MB and we get our PPR Seems it was all meant to be. We have already prepared our PPR package and it will be posted by family in the UK and sent to our Canadian address. We took a bit of a gamble with all our plans but luckily it has all worked out and we can start to plan our new life in Canada. Thanks to everyone for all their help, special mention to Former Lancastrian, JonboyE and Jim Humphries. Seems like the PAFSO strike has not delayed processing for us. Must dash out to the liquor mart for some champers to share with the family.
Good luck to all those still waiting, you should see movement this month, wishing you all the best.
Regards

Thanks Jim,
Maybe a long wait for a PNP application but my heart goes out to those on the FSW route who wait for years. Thanks for all your help and support, invaluable for all.

Many congratulations, Andrew!
(Yes, we are FSW1 people who decided to take the PNP route rather than wait, so I know what you mean. I think we would still have been waiting to go into process if we had stuck with FSW1).
Shouldn't be too long now - enjoy the summer as visitors and the timely excuse not to work.

So if there are any miracle workers out there, speak now!
But it is a beautiful summer, haven't quite run out of cash yet and I have PR so for all that I am grateful.
