I am aware of the long wait for this way of immigrating, however is there any chance of a reduced time if the parents coming in are of working age and capable of finding employment within a short time.

It won't make any difference to parental sponsorship, but it would make it quicker if they qualify for another type of visa. Have a read of the Wiki to see if they would do, as most other ways to get PR will be much quicker.

Can get a PNP in a few other Provinces, but unfortunately not in same one as relatives!
