re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
I have been approved as a sponsor beginning of June. Application was saying in process and medicals were received for part 2 so a bit confusing. Might just be site maintenance?! Need to ring at the end of the week to find out where my sponsor approval letter is (still waiting after 5 weeks!) so will ask if it's still the same.

After what feels like about ten years since we applied we FINALLY received sponsor approval today!
I am on cloud nine right now, basically bouncing around the house in happiness... seems absurd but I have been so damn stressed

Yay!! I've updated you on the spreadsheet. Enjoy the high, then pour a drink and sit back for another 6 or so months.

Already had a nice (not so cold as I forgot to put it in the fridge) Moosehead to celebrate!
I do notice from the spreadsheet that my application is tied for the longest stage 1 so far, argh!
Hopefully stage 2 I can be lower down the list... it'll help my heart if nothing else

just applied to change my status to vistor when my IEC expires in a month. I applied by mail to Vegreville.
will they send a confirmation receipt when it arrives for processing?
the website says I have implied status until a decision is made, but I don't really have any proof I have applied other than my receipt that I received when I paid the $100.

Morning!
Sorry I know this has been covered already, but im just about to run out the door for work and wondered if someone could give me a quick answer!
Application changed to in process...does that mean anything? Or could it sit like that for another 5 months?

I think it's generally a good thing although from what I have heard ECAS seems to lag very badly behind what is actually going on, my application said that the same day I received confirmation my app was recieved.

Ps - am freaking out here!! No additional information requested, never went in process. After all the issues this week just logged on and there it was! Perhaps worth everyone checking! Happy Tuesday! X

Quick update. Neither good or bad news. I sent an email to CIC back on June 16th regarding my change in marital status. They have just replied saying that they can't accept the record of solemnization for immigration purposes and need either the marriage licence or marriage certificate. I immediately sent them a copy of the marriage licence. I hope they get back to me asap. It's been nearly a year so my Medicals will expire soon

I hadn't even bothered to check ECAS at all since i'd resigned myself to the whole process taking ages but seeing it in progress has made me more interested now.
I expect I will obsess and check it daily for another 2 weeks now!

All updates done!
In Process is a good sign, though yours seems to be well ahead of the pack! *Usually* I'd say you'll hear something soon, but given you're only two months in, I'm not certain. Cautious optimism, maybe?
Yeah, I've just done 4-5 updates! Your In Process timing makes way more sense than Stewart's... perhaps a bit ahead given how many outstanding 2013 ones there still are, but broadly within expectations anyway. Hopefully not long now!
Brilliant news!! COPR can be anywhere from the next day to a month or so, so just keep an eye on the post. It will be a required signature to pick it up as it's an official document, so watch for that. Yay you!!
Given you've been In Process for awhile and had your PPT copy requested ages ago, I'd guess you are hopefully not too far away from the final decision. It might be worth dropping them a case-specific email through the website to let them know your medicals are expiring in x weeks. They will either request that you get new medicals done, or if they are close to approving they may just extend your medicals slightly. (Someone on here recently had their medicals expiring. CIC emailed back and said "can you land by x date?" which was about 3 weeks after the medical expiry. The guy said yes, so CIC issued COPR with that date, and it was all fine.)
