Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Welcome to 'The Club'... I see from the spreadsheet your application is tracking ours pretty much on the same timelines. My status has remained the same for over a month now, with 'Online Services' saying decision made and MyCIC 'Still in progress'. Good to get so far though.

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
My husband received an email yesterday, my file is being kept at CPC Mississauga for processing. Exactly what I expected as the case notes I ordered back in August mentioned eligibility for the mysterious OB 570. Hopefully things will move more smoothly now!

Spreadsheet updated.
Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Hi
I just wanted to provide my info for the spreadsheet.
Sponsor: Canadian living in the UK
Principal Applicant: British Citizen
Dependents: 0
Marital status: Common Law
Application type: Family sponsorship
Application sent: via Couier 11 Aug 17
Application received: at CPC Mississauga 14 Aug 17
Email from CPC Mississauga requesting hardcopy missing information: 28 Sep 17
Rquested information sent: via Courier 29 Sep 17
Requested information received: at CPC Mississauga 02 Oct 17
The covering letter with the request for missing information (IMM5406) was unclear about what would happen next, but appears to say that - once received - the application will go back to the end of the queue...

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Hi all,
I'm thinking about doing an inland application.
I'm worried that if I give up my apartment, job, sell my stuff etc and buy a ticket, customs might turn me away.
has anyone gone through this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris.

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
When it happened to us our application was marked as received from the day the hard copy arrived in Mississauga. So June 1st rather than the 13th April when our application initially arrived. It took about 5 weeks then to receive Schedule A request, medical request and sponsor approval. Then a further 6 weeks for transfer to LVO

Spousal Sponsorship-Canada : British Expat Wiki
Yes, if you sell up everything and cut your ties to your current country hoping to be let in to Canada as a visitor then apply as inland, I would say you are highly likely to be refused admission. Refer to the wiki article on precisely this scenario here:

Was getting impatient as going by the wiki it mentioned 8 weeks. Its coming up to 7, is there any other contact info. Had a few useless calls to CIC.

Thank you. No just a reference to the Toronto phone area code. I think I need the buzz of downtown city life for a few years...

Born and raised in Toronto myself (well Scarberia actually). Find the city waaaayyyy too busy for my liking now though - still hoping for the hockey team though!

Re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London
Cracked me up when I first heard that term and always does.
Yep has definitely got a lot busier since I schooled here over 10 years ago. I guess comparing it to London I find it quiet. However so much of Canada yet to explore.
