There you go!
From the look of things, applications submitted in March are currently receiving Spousal Sponsorship; applications submitted in December/January are getting COPR.

chrisbrockhurst - an additional thought... looking at the spreadsheet, the two people who have received COPR were the two that had their sponsor approvals through in a ridiculously quick amount of time (39 and 45 days, as compared to our 85-90 days). Those applications arrived in London in February.
Have a look at the 2011 tab - most of the December apps were also received in London in February and those are also having COPR through... so I think we might be more like 8 weeks away.

And that means i should be about 1-2 weeks after that, so 5-6 weeks for me... here's hoping things go smoothly!!! So excited.

Does anyone ever get rejected to sponsor? I think our application is watertight, I am fully employed, living in the UK with my wife and kids for two years, tons of evidence, I am a Canadian citizen etc.
Still, there is always a worry that for some reason I might not be permitted to sponsor. It seems rare that sponsors are rejected, most are rejected at the PR second stage (applicant itself) from reading on here.

Thanks for the info, any time now then we should be getting something! Phew, nervous times. Just checked ecas, still showing as "received".

I have been married to my Canadian husband for almost 20 years and we have 5 children together. Our application is very straightforward but out of the 3 different types of applications we have filed, 2 have come back with incorrect documentation! Dosn't bode well for the third.

only box we should be looking at really to compare ourselves is the time from Sponsor Approval to COPR. This basically factors the time to get to London and the time for the approval to tak place. The last few peoples times for this is 88,89,99,96,77,63,65,71,74. Majority are less than 3 months, a couple that stand out there as 3 months and a week.. maybe im looking into it TOO much though lol.
Either way I think in July we will be see ours Fingers crossed!!!!! -> especially as my work visa runs out July 31st.. get this though, I told my boss and he told me he can cover with HR for a few weeks if it isnt through.. not sure how I feel about this though!

Hello people.
we have still not had an update since spousal sponsorship was approved on april 27th.
We are hoping that we hear some news before august 4th as the oh's medical runs out on that day.
We are assuming because we did not get our application in before that screw up they had, that it will take that much longer to be approved (if things for us are straightforward)
oh, and on CAS it doesn't state that they have received our medical yet. Is that normal?
fingers crossed eh?

Might be worth giving either CIC or the medical office a call to see what the hold up is... entirely possible that something has just been misplaced by CIC... One of the others here with more experience/insight may have a better answer though.

yes, i should mention we sent it off in january with our application, it had been done in august because we were going to apply much earlier (which we should have done) but we were going back and forth.
I'll give it a bit longer, and see if anything happens.
Our timeline is Jan 26th- application received
and April 27th Sponsorship Approval

Hard to say if it's normal or not that they haven't received your medical - I would think it is a bit strange if you had yours done in August of last year. Ours were done in December, we submitted in January, and had approval 24 April - and my ECAS says that medicals have been received. I think chrisbrockhurt's is broadly similar to mine.

I had a long hard read and search of many posts on here and the Canada Visa forum and it seems to be entirely random that your eCas gets updated with 'medical received' or not. I saw alot of posts saying their apps went straight from 'application received' to 'decision made' so Im just assuming mine will be going the same way or similar to this as yours probably will do.
It sounds like it entirely depends on the visa officier doing the file, apparently they can write lots of notes on your applications but you wont see these (unless you request them) I imagine ours medical received notes are probably on these somewhere and we just cant see them. London seems to be pretty steady and accurate with their timelines of 3 months.. take a look at the spreadsheet for the past 1 years.
None the less I had a bit of worry before I searched and found this out and sent a case specific email to London, no reply (they only say they reply if they need to) so all looks good, touch wood! As I said to schnookololy before, looks like we will be getting ours in the next 4-6ish weeks based on previous timelines.
Is there even a contact number for the London CIC anyway if we needed to call? I thought it was email only..

Has anybody had any experiences with calling the CIC? We're running at 98 days so far since our application was received, and as yet no word on sponsor approval. The app was received on March 12th, and even though the website says they are currently working on ones received at the end of Feb, I know from the forum some have been approved that were sent after that date.

Don't bother calling until the "working on apps received x date" has passed - it's the more accurate measure as opposed to the total processing time one. Once March 12th passes online, then you can call. Until then, just sit tight.
