Hi all
does any one have any idea on time lines for spousal sponsorship processed in Canada
Dec 10 2009 application recieved
sept 2010 first stage approval and work visa (good untill 2012 )
PR card ???????
have spoken to the "help line" not much help my status just seems to stay the same (in process)
Still loving it out here but waiting !!

My timescale (poss too long ago to be relevent now?) was as follows:

Application received on 8th Nov 2006 and began processing on 2nd Jan 2007.

I received AIP on June 25th 2007.

Fingerprints were requested in mid October, which I had done at the local RCMP station and sent to CIC myself. e-CAS said were received on October 23rd. My e-CAS then updated on 21st Jan saying "We received the requested information on January 21, 2008. Thank you for providing the information." but I hadn't actually sent them anything, so I'm guessing that was saying they'd got the fingerprint check results back from the main RCMP headquarters (or wherever they were sent!)

On 31st Jan 2008 e-CAS updated to "decision made" and on 6th Feb 2008 I got the letter about processing being complete; saying that I'd be contacted by my local CIC office.

Got a phone call asking me to attend on 13th March 2008 at CIC Prince George and they finally granted me PR, so took about 16 months in total.

There is a spousal sponsorship timeline thread further down the page which you can have a look at to get ideas of how long it's taking others at the mo. Most people are doing outland applications though as it's so much quicker, but you may find an inland timeline or two to give you an idea.
