Default Timeline for medical exams for 2002 PR applicants?

Hello,

I am wondering when a letter with medical exam information might be
expected for a person who sent the PR application on November 1, 2002
and received the confirmation on December 7th, 2002.
I have heard and read that this used to take a few months only, but I
was wondering if any recent (2002) applicants who received their
medical exam information, could tell me how much time passed between
the time they had sent the application and the time they received the
letter about taking medical exams.

If it matters, the application was sent to the Buffalo, NY, USA
office.

Thank you.

You have to be patient - Buffalo is now assessing cases received in January
2002. Medicals are being done well after assessment. You have at least a
year or more of wait for medicals.

Default Re: Timeline for medical exams for 2002 PR applicants?

first sorry if my words are not good news but:

Buffalo took almost 3 months to clear applications sent december 2001.Here
people start to talk about Dec 2001 sent applications in Dec 2002.The CIC
website just changed to applications sent in Jan 2002 in March 2003.Is almost a
month since CIC changed their word to applications sent Jan 2002 and since then
here, in this
NG i did not see a single "GOT IT" for assessment letter(Jan 2002).

Of course that is not a perfect science but i must say things are getting
pretty bad.In Resume i may take even more then a year for you to get a word
base in the timeline this days.If i'm you,my friend, just forget about it and
enjoy your life and cross your finger for no interview. If is going to take then
around 2 months to clear a single month you still may have another 15 to 22
months (from Jan 2002 to Nov 2002 = 11 months. if take then 2 months to clear
one month ,we are taking about 11 x 2=22 sorry) just to get you assessment
letter. These are the number now.The trick is to see how long CIC is going to
take to change their Webpage from applications from Jan 2002 to Feb 2002 and
so on.
Again good luck and don't think to much.
