Timeline for Investor Federal Program from the UK
Does anyone have a timeline for the Federal Investor Program from the UK.
I see there are dates here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...siness-fed.asp
and the note at the top (in the red box) regarding the applications from July 2004 being finalized not before 2007 (maybe 18 months). This of course is now out of date, and i heard that the commitment has been extended beyond the 1000 applications committed to then.
The question is what is the current time line for new applications or has anyone recently been asked for documents that sent in the simplified application and to what office.

Thank you Andrew, that is excellent and answers my question.
It seems my solicitor is quoting at the higher range then.
Strange that the CIC site quotes more than 18 months.

Re: Timeline for Investor Federal Program from the UK
Everybody's experience is different and I don't claim that timelines for my clients' cases are the trend. I just stated what stats I have in my books.
CIC states averages - it is very misleading and prone to terrible misinterpretations. Why?
For example the reported average of 18 months can be the average of two timelines for 2 cases (just to keep it simplistic for the purpose of explanation) - one completed in 10 months and the other one in 26 months.
(10+26)/2=18 - do you think that average tells you what you want to know?
I also advise my clients about timelines being closer to reported averages - IMO it is better than promising something faster that may not materialize as processing times fluctuate.
