Default time from medicals to passport request?

Hi
We are going for meds on 29th June. If we pass and the CHC ask for passports does anyone know how long they give you to send the passports in to them? We are going to Canada 26th July for 4 weeks and don't want to miss any deadlines as we would not be able to send passports to them til after we get back end of August. Thanks

Passport request is normally anything from 4 weeks to a couple of months depending on the route you applied, i think. Cant help with how long you have to send them off but as they give you 90 days to do your medical in im sure they must give you some time to send your passports off. sorry not much help

Thanks for the info. With medicals they give you 3 months to do them - just wondered if they give a time limit to send passports - maybe not .

yes they do, from memory (which I wouldn't rely on!) it's 60 days to send in your passports from the date of your ppr letter.

You have 60 days to send in your passports (or take them up). It took us five weeks from doing meds to getting PPR, but it can take up to three months with some poor unfortunates (5 weeks was bad enough to wait, I can't imagine waiting longer).
