Angry three weeks since medicals and no results at the CHC

HI all,

Three weeks since doing our medicals and no results at the CHC yet.
They told me that it is all they are waiting for.
how long should it take for the medical reports to get to the CHC.They where done in Manchster.

Patience is the virtue....

It is not a bakery my friend - some get passport request from CHC London within few weeks from medicals while others within few months.

Have you contacted the DMP to find out whether or not they have actually been posted?

How do you know that? If you base your assumption on e-CAS then forget it, don't pay any attention to it.

Results are usually mailed by DMP within 1 to 2 weeks from medicals, as soon as test results are received and report prepared.

Phone your doctors and ask them when they were sent? and if they were recorded delivery? They should be sent within 2 weeks, you paid for private treatment which should always be quicker than national health!
The X rays get sent to the doctors if not taken witihin same medical centre. Then the bloods test results are sent to doctors too. Thats why it can take up to two weeks. We were told the blood tests are done privately also for quickness. Like Andrew said dont expect e-client to put received uo their straight awa. I personally do not look there ever.

I'd be calling again, and not hanging up till I got an answer, or even better, going to their office if possible.

Good luck, I hope the doc's office didn't screw up...

This is why I always suggest to pay extra to DMP to use courier to send medicals to visa post. Small change compared to the total cost of your immigration and provides peace of mind.

I understand that everyone is trying to save every penny, but it is your life, your future you are gambling with. And what would be the cost of courier? Two movie tickets...

Who did you use?? I did not think you get sent anything to do with the medicals. Why are they sending you a copy of the blood tests? You are not allowed any copies of the forms they fill in, this seems strange. Although I suppose you paid for the results and they are yours. DId you ask for them?
I thought they HAD to send the things withing a reasonable time frame, and must not delay. They also have to be helpfull etc. There are guidelines issued to a doctors and if they dont comply with them, I think steps can be taken.
It could be that the doctor that done the medicals went on holiday between the X rays coming back etc. and they dont want to say that. It has happened to somone else recently They had to wait exactly 2 weeks before theirs were sent.

Ring the doctors again, and ask to speak to the guy who did the medicals personally.

Ours were sent by DMP via FEDEX at an additional cost so we were able to track delivery. Medicals were sent on 08 Aug'05, received by CHC London 10 Aug'05 and PPR were received by post 30 Aug'05 (PPR dated 24 Aug'05) - two week turn around except for the time it takes for the mail to arrive which is an additional week.

We are currently waiting for VISA stamping in Riyadh as it was part of their optional procedures if one wish not to send passports to London and hoping to be done in 1 or 2 weeks time.

Good Luck!!!
