Default Temporary work between positions

My temporary work assignment in Canada just ended. I have secured a position with a new employer and they are seeking HRSDC approval. My previous employer has approached me about working a few hours a week on an as needed basis. Can I legally work a few hours a week for my former employer until my temporary work permit is approved with the new employer? The work permit for my former employer is valid until March 2006.

Yes, armed with your SIN, you can work now and on after March if the employer wants you, whilst you make another application/s, as long as the application is receiving attention, you keep on with your current status.
Job Bank HRSDC is the place to search for something that is likely to get the ok, if you choose to change employer.
