Temporary Resident Visa for Family?

Hi, coming to Canada on a work permit later this year.

As a UK national, with family, I know we are exempt from the normal visitor visas when entering Canada, but this is only valid for 6 months.

When we come in, do my wife and kids need temporary resident visas as they will be staying more than six months, or does the work permit cover it all, if applied for together?

Many thanks

You should all get the same length of status and that will depend upon the length of your work permit.
