TEF exams in the UK....where???
I've searched all the forums and searched the internet to try and find out more info on taking a TEF test in the Uk to gain points in French as second language.....so far no luck and the main site on TEFS is in French and with my proficiency only being basic I'm getting nowhere fast!!
Only hope to get basic proficiency and get a test in ASAP as just need those few extra points before sending in application but I just cannot seem to find any more info on the TEF exams.
If anyone has any information that they could kindly share that would be great!
Thanks!!!

I took my TEF test at Alliance Francaise in Manchester earlier this month,
do a Google search and you'll find the website.
There's a test centre in London as well, I don't know if there are more of
them around the country.
Good luck!

Here's one:
Alliance Francais
1 Dorset Square
London NW1 6PU
Phone: 020 77236439
[email protected]
http://www.alliancefrancais.org.uk
I was supposed to take a test yesterday (15/12/03)- but the bloody trains let me down big time (and I gave myself plenty of time) - so was too late to start the exams. I'll have to wait until January or possibly February before I can re-take them.
Give them a call, they are very helpful. They also send some example documents for the obligatory and optional tests before the exams (much of this is similar to what is posted on their web site).
Good luck.

By the way, the actual exam itself, is it the same one for all and you are graded and awarded points accordingly and are there books or online reference work in preperation for the exams???

Alliance Francais should have TEF book and two cassettes coming with it. For
a free sample test and test information visit the official TEF website. You
can get the link to it through www.cic.gc.ca when you look under language
requirements.
Look under language skills.
