Default Tax matters and Medicals

My wife is sponsoring me inland, and I reside with her in Ontario. We
are filing taxes and I wonder if we can deduct my in Canada medical
expenses. Most specifically I wonder if she can claim my expenses
related to fulfilling the medicals.

This is an immigration newsgroup, not a tax newsgroup, unfortunately.
For advice relating to your specific tax situation, contact an accountant or
a professional tax consultant. CCRA - the taxman - may be able to answer
your questions specifically, but in some cases their verbal answers may take
a while to get.

This is a group that provides answers and adivice on issues related to
Canadian immigration and as such my question is directed towards that
end. As I do not have a sin nummber ( being an immigrant) I want to know
if I my wife can claim my medical expenses as I am her dependant
(sponsored). And in specific I wanted to know if the medical was tax
deductable. I don't believe I am off topic.

Medical expenses are a deduction, but not a straight deduction, i.e. dollar
for dollar. It is based on a % your income. If she is declaring you as a
dependent then it is probable that your medical expenses would be included
in her return. As to the cost of the Medical exam, you might want to check
with CCRA taxation for their opinion, as they are the taxation people.
