Did you apply under the PEI PNP?
That does sound incredibly fast.
Hope the NB is similar. Sadly looking at their predicted time I think not.

Now it explains "super fast" speed. It would be beneficial to others if you could post entire timeline, starting with your first application for PNP. Then participants will be able to understand better your timeline.

You can see why we are all interested in your super fast results....
What is your occupation, and how difficult was it to apply as PEI Nominee program?
A lot of us here are on the "skilled worker" route which is why we are all so desperate to hear of a slightly faster way!
....I will probably stick to mine though as it is best for me, but your information will certainly be useful.
Well done!

Re: Is This Super Fast.............
Most Provinces in Canada have their individual agreements with federal government granting them right to select and nominate small number of immigrants who meet very specific requirements and needs of nominating Province and express their intention to settle permanently in nominating Province. It is designed to give participating Provinces the ability to fill very specific gaps on their occupations shortage lists.
Links to Prince Edward Island (PEI) and other Provinces PNP's (Provincial Nominee Programs) are here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/provnom/index.html
PNP applicants upon approval (after anywhere from few months to over a year from PNP application) are granted a PNP Selection Certificate and with such they must apply like eveybody else for Canadian PR visa through proper visa post. PNP certificate takes care of the selection process stage, thus PNP nominees experience speedier (but not always) PR visa application process. Note that number of PNP certificates is very small - anywhere from 50 to few hundreds per year (with exception of Manitoba with about 1,250 certificates per year) - and often applicants must wait for following year (or few years) when Province uses up it's annual quota.

Full info on our Nominee Program
We had visited the island at all times of the year to see how we would cope with the weather so..Spring/Summer/winter.
While there we researched the Islands history and customs and had a good look around at the different areas of the island to find a place to live.
We asked about cost of living.driving on the island and the costs of utilities etc.Even got a drivers handbook to read up on as we will have to take a driving test as per the regulations there.
Having stayed there some months and gathered all the info we needed i then contacted the immigration dept. on the island and we went for an interview ...this was in Jan of this year we stayed on the island till end of Feb. returned home collected all the paperwork for London and sent it off to them in the April..........aor.came June.........medicals July........no we wait.....
My husband is a carpenter/joiner and i am a midwife we have one son of 27 and we hope he will apply to join us in the future but its just hubby and I going now.
We sadly have very few relatives left alive in this country so i guess he checks etc. were easy to do and with no complications things seemed to have moved along well.
As Mr Miller said ............we will be living on the island for good which is what we want but island life might not be for everyone.
If you need further info do get in touch Vi.
