Study Permit
Hi
We are in Canada and my son (19yo) has an IEC permit at the minute but is off to college in September
We have applied and just got approval for a study permit for him
Will we need to do a border run to get the permit or will they post it out to us?
The CIC site doesnt really specify what they do for in Canada applications
We applied from inside Canada and have no trips planned home but are an hour or so from the US border

As far as I am aware IRCC should mail you the actual permit so no need to do a border run.

If you applied as an In Canada applicant (IMM5709) you should receive it in the mail. The approval will say A document has been sent to the address you provided ...[or similar].
