Thanks for all your advise

I have taken the test on the Quebec Immigration website and passed and also checked it out with a consultant as I didnt believe the result!!!...So took it again ( I cant speak French ) but passed again..
I think it is going off qualifications, work experience, age and the fact that my job is in demand....

I agree with the " Cant speak French YET " quote to a certain degree yes. However I am slightly Dyslexic so struggle sometimes never mind learning another language! Sounds ignorant, but Its not meant to look that way......
Ironic as my partner is decended from France!!!! She can talk the talk a lot better than me but is still limited..

But yes you are right we could live there for the 3 months and if we struggle then move on! But just a bit worrying as we have kids. One being a baby.

I am looking into the Manitoba way in now.. The strategic initiative stream as well as the employer direct strem.....Problem with the strategic way in is you have to be interviewed with a MPNP officer ideally in MB on an exploritory visit! and as its not long ago since we were there, funding another trip is problematic right now..But they do visit immigration fairs...so I am on the case with that now!

Thanks again all.....

I agree it will probably be very difficult to remotely secure a job, even with a PR visa. If/when we get our visa I will probably quit my job here and fly to Canada and try to get a job, and once successful my wife will then join me and try to find a job.

All depends on getting the visa and selling our house this summer though.

@stephen: I haven't heard about any MB companies/or the government going to any fair soon (I can inquire..as I am going for a meeting with them on the 17th..but chances are very slim) . And yes, strategic stream you MUST du an exploratory visit..prior ok'd by them, with an interview at the end.

employer direct, you need again an employer/LMO/WP.
