Strike action effect on processing times

Hi does anyone know how much of an affect the PAFSO strike action is having on processing times for PR applications made within Canada.

We have AINP our PR application was delivered on July 26th, 16 days before our daughters 22nd birthday. So I believe her age will be locked in.

looking at peoples timelines, under normal circumstances initial correspondence takes about a month this process is nerve racking enough with out have to consider delays due to strike action :frown:

I would hazard a guess that the PAFSO strike is not affecting processing times for applications made within Canada as this strike is TARGETING offices OUTSIDE of Canada;)

I have however heard that some processing which was being done outside of Canada has been moved to Canada. Those people were presumably previously doing different CIC work, so there might be some impact.

Maybe, but I somehow doubt that union members in PSAC (CIC employees) would do work that is the purview of another union.
