Our Medicals run out this month 31st to be exact, we are getting mixed messages, I am worried because, I am told that once we collect our passports on 8th July we THEN have to land in Canada as a family before 31st July which is crazy!! there is no time to sort anything out!!

My query is, can my husband land for all of the family and we follow later?
Do we have to re-do the medicals once we get our passports back next week?

its all about money I think, I refuse to believe that they would issue us with our visa knowing full well that medicals run out in 3 weeks!!

No....no....they wouldnt be so cruel, and whats worse is there is 5 in our family which means another exspense HUGE to do medicals again.

PLEASE HELP....should I ask for an extention but why bother....I have not got a cats hope in hell of them responding!!

1) It takes how many days before we are eligible for OHIP coverage,
2) My child being infant and needs vaccination, do we need to pay for the vaccination or is it free of cost, is she eligible for OHIP as soon as we land and when can we apply for child benefits
3) which mobile plan is best for new landed immigrants,
4) How should we start our job search
5) what are the other formalities needs to be completed immediately after landing
regards
1) OHIP, is 3 months after landing but you should register now
2) no idea but your local Public Health Unit will be able to give you this information
3) pay as you go
4) Go to the newcomers centre and they will advise you
5) SIN card, but find a newcomers centre for advice, support etc.

thanks fledermaus,

Checked with the Ontaio health and as per them they need a residence proof like bank statements, utility bills etc along with OHIP registration form before applying, so waiting for the monthly bank statement same is required for child tax benefit,
Got SIN number but cards will be delivered only after 10 working days,
Well, now i need my resume to be in canadian style before applying for job, from where can we get sample covering letters and resume, thanks
