Default Status of close relative

Hi all,

I know this one came up the other day, but I just wanted to make sure of one thing.

I understand that it is necessary to provide proof that your close relative is living in Canada if you wish to claim points for adaptability.

My question is will a couple of paid utility bills from the close relative satisfy this requirement or is something more substantial required?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Majj.

It may not be enough.

Thank you for the response, Mr Miller

Could you please advise what items or activity may consitute proof of status beyond reasonable doubt.

Regards,

Majj.

First it is not proof beyong a reasnable doubt but the balanace of
probablity

Second; Use your imagination. What do Canadians have as proof of residing in
Canada? They have houses and cars and pay taxes. They have jobs or are on
welfare or EI. to start! Not just utility bills.

I have nothing to add here - Jim made it quite clear explaining what kind of
evidence is needed to prove that your relative lives in Canada.

If you are hoping that couple of utility bills without all other evidence of
really living in Canada will do the trick then you are set for a big
surprise my friend.
