Default Statistics

Hello. I just wondered, out of interest, if there are any statistics available to show if the introduction of the Cap on family sponsorship applications to Canada has done anything to reduce the backlog? Also, has the Cap done anything to reduce the time it takes for new applications to be processed? In the UK you can submit a Freedom of Information request, is this available in Canada and if so, does anyone have a link? I'm prepared for a long wait, maybe 4-5yrs but wonder if I might be pleasantly surprised.
