Default Spouse's open work permit

We are due to land on 24th June and I have a TWP and as I'm a skilled worker him indoors gets an open work permit. CIC says it takes a month to get an open work permit but he applied 6 weeks ago and his application still reads that they haven't made a decision yet. Anything we can do?

You say you're due to land, so you've got PR?

No. We land in Vancouver airport on 24th. We have applied for PR via provincial nomination by paper at their request so that will take ages. I have a TWP for up to 4 years.

Ah, ok. 'Landing' is a specific term usually meaning when you land to activate PR, hence the confusion.

Is there a reason your wife isn't getting her SOWP at the airport when she arrives? If she's a UK citizen then that would be the easiest option.

Hi. I was told by the folk from Vancouver island health authority that him indoors should apply online for his SOWP so that's what he did

Sorry for the confusion with the term. I just meant land as in the plane lands.
