Default Spouse PR in principle applying from within Canada

I am reading some horror stories re PR when applying within Canada. Some
people writing it took them up to 3 years from application to gaining full
PR status.

After marrying I understand it will take time to process, but what is the
normal waiting time for PR in principle status? The ability to apply for
work is my concern.

Thanks

If everything is all right, no medical, criminal, background, problems and
the relationship appears genuine, then these days you should receive AIP in
about 5/6 months.
