I am a Canadian PR currently out of Canada. I want to apply for my wife's immigration under family class.
Keeping in view that medicals are valid for one year, is it OK if my wife goes for her upfront medical examination in Dec, 03 but I apply for her immigration when I permanently move to Canada somewhere in April, 04? Any idea if Canadian embassy will keep the results of her medicals with it till I apply for her immigration?
Would greatly appreciate your replies.
Thanks in advance.

Depending on the country of the visa office that your wife's application will be sent to, and any circumstances in your application
requiring more in-depth checking, it will be somewhat likely to extremely likely that she won't get her visa in time for her to land
in Dec04 so she'd be required to take the medical again. It would be best if she had it done in March. But it is "OK" to do it
early.
My wife did her medical in May 2003 and I sent in our application in July. We got the final and very quick approval in October for
the visa. That was in the Philippines. She's still waiting for her passport and visa to be finally in her hands though. Any day!
Anyway, her medical results were kept by CIC somewhere in their system even though we hadn't applied yet by the time Canada received
the results.
