British Expats - Spousal Sponsorship question

Hi Guys.
Great site it's assisted me hugely with my spousal sponsorship application which I am close to sending.

My story. From new Zealand and my IEC work permit has run for 23 months, expiring on the 27th April 2021. My wife and I were married on March 23rd and want to stay together in Canada. We have a strong application in my opinion. My only worry is this.

I have filled out an IMM 5710 and selected "Open work permit for the first time or new employer"
Continuing working after I submitted my application was my intention, but I have been reading alot and realise this would be a mistake as my IEC isn't extendable.

We still plan on sending in the application. My question is

- Do I need to fill out an application to stay as a visitor aswell as my spousal sponsorship application AND my Application to change conditions?
