Default Spousal Sponsorship....Document Attestation Date...does it matter

Hi,
For my application for the spousal sponsorship application I have a
question to confirm about the attestation of civial status and
educational, police clearance documents. I had my docments prepared
and attested more than 6 months ago. While filing spousal sponsoship
application does it matter to attach the documents that I had prepared
and got attested or should I get my civial status, education and other
revelant documents attested once again i.e post marrige date. I have
heard from someone that the immigration authorities would ask to have
newly attested docments(is that true)

Thanks
