Sponsorship denied?
 

Just to calm my nerves, anybody heard of a refused spousal sponsorship where the
marriage and life together is legit?

Yep. Happened to a friend of mine. they appealed and won.

If it's refused then CIC obviously don't think it's legit for some reason. I'd like to think that if the refusal was to appear there would be reasons stated as to why, and thus an appeal could be made.

It sounds as though you have a sponsorship app in progress and think it might be refused for some reason. Is it because it's taking a while?

Yes, app in progress.
Not really concerned, no benefits, convictions, married for two years, lived together for five. Mortage, bank accounts, we have everything. 55 and 52 years old, final pension scheme to retire with.
I'm just gauging the possibility because we are travelling next week to Canada to buy a house. And my imagination is getting away with me. what if we buy a house and they won't let me sponsor my husband?
Just musing worst case. I dont really see any problem.

Just over a year ago we were in exactly the same situation as you... And it did get very stressy. I'd sort of started wondering if any of the Barder Meinhoft mob had a name that sounded like mine. You just get a bit scared. Hold tight, it's just the waiting that's terrible.
