Sponsoring Wife (Residing In USA ) From Canada

Can AnyBody Clear My Following Doubts Please.

1)I am Canadian PR ,residing in Canada.I have filed for my wife
sponsorship couple of days back,When I spoke with my immigration
attorney he mentioned that Upfront medical are not for people residing
in USA.it is for other countries. But after reading the posts on this
board I realised that she could have taken the medicals upfront. Can
She still go for medical and send it once she gets her file number?
2)What is the approximate timeline to get PR for her?

Thanks In Advance.
Raj.

Where did you find such incompetent "lawyer"????

Please download country specific instruction for US here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3910e.pdf

and see for yourself that proof of medicals is required with the
application.
