Hello everybody.

I would like to know the approximate time it takes to bring the dependents of the
Principal Applicant namely parents, wife & dependent child to Canada after the
Principal Applicant has landed & sponsors his dependents from Canada. What is the
procedure to be followed in sponsoring the dependents & also the requirements of
funds etc.

Regards.

Dear Mme, your question covers two issues: one is family reunion with wife and dependent children, another is sponsored family class immigration.

When the principal applicant became a landed immigrant, he is entitled to sponsorship of his famly members to assist their landing process. The case process is on the top priority. LICO standard is waived.

When the principal became a landed immigrant, he has to sponsor his parents in their landing process under LICO standard. Financial obligation is mandate.

Sponsoring your wife and child(ren) can be done now. The process will = take
anywhere from 6 months to 16 months but with all posts trying their = best to give
them priority.

For parents you will have to meet an income test. You income = sufficient to support
all family members here and coming and depending = on what city you live in. Once you
can show you have that amount in = the 12 month period before you sponsor, that
should be fine too. = Parents can take between 6 and 24 months depending on where and
= circumstances.

--=20 Good luck,

All opinions expressed are IMHO, not anyone else's
