Sponsoring Girlfriend for PR

Do I have too have been a permanent resident for a set period of time before I am able to sponsor my girlfriend. She wasn't on my PR application as we hadn't been together long enough to be counted as common law partners, in a months time we will be classed as common law partners and I'm wanted to sponsor her so she can stay.:amen:

The reason I ask is a friend said I would have to be a PR for 3 years before I could sponsor her, but I can't find anything which mentions this.

No, there is no minimum period of time unless you were sponsored as spouse yourself in the last 5 years.
