Yes, I saw that. But there have been no updates on the processing times for over a year; they are still acknowledging applications received by April 2011, just as they were ~12 months ago, when I first started checking.... I guess I was hoping somebody who had managed to get their sponsorship application processed recently would share their joy.

Nothing to do really, but WAIT. Will do!
Hi Jo and Alex, I am pleased to say I am just waiting for my COPR from London now ( hopefully within the next few weeks). I am being sponsored by my daughter and son in law. The application forms were sent in at end of April 2008 so it has taken almost 5 years for me to get PR. From another forum it seems that some applications from 2009 are also nearing completion but there must be still a huge backlog still to be dealt with up to cut off date in 2011.

Packaged ones bought from a store should be ok. Those in clear plastic bags home made or looking like a certain green leaf substance with a THC content might cause you a few headaches
