Default SOWP For Long Haul Truck Drivers

Hi

My husband is a long haul driver in Alberta, and i have an open work permit based on him.
his permit expires September 2014 and so does mine, so he needs a new LMIA
The spousal pilot scheme was only extended until July 2014. If (providing he gets a new LMIA) he renews his work permit in September, can i renew mine as i have already had one, or being as it is a new application will it all depend if the pilot scheme is extended or not, meaning i may have to quit work.

i have heard i can get another as i already had one, and also heard that it depends on if the pilot is extended as it would be a new application.

Anyone know for definate 😃

Thanks

1. If the LMIA for your spouse is considered "low wage" (no longer low skill level) and the pilot is not extended, then you will NOT be eligible for a SOWP.
2. Having a one previously doesn't entitle you to one in the future.
