Default Some more unbelievable PPR news!!!!

Had our passport requests this morning - yes! yes! yes!

So excited we can't stop shaking.:scared: It's gonna be a good Saturday night though .

We've been checking our email so much since Jenwren had their request, as our timelines are so similar - even though it could still have been weeks/months before we heard anything. Just so relieved it's finally happened.

Our timeline is:

Applied April 2004
AOR 2 June 2004 (18 Month wait)
Med Requests 5 Dec 2005
Did medicals 29 Dec 2005 Slough
Sent medicals and additional info (ROLF and Police Certs only) 5 Jan 06
PASSPORT REQUESTS 4 Feb 06.

Will land later this year for a holiday, but won't be moving out until 2007 (was always our plan to go immediately, but since then family circumstances have changed).

As Jenwren said - we're really lucky it's happened this quickly and hope that everyone else waiting starts hearing some news really soon.

Good luck to everyone - we're off to do the happy dance!

OK, I can understand one person (Jenwren) getting lucky, but now you too!!? What great news, congratulations!

Maybe there really is something a-happening in CHC. I'm getting nervous just thinking about it! Our AOR is the day after yours and like you we just had to send updated police certs and RPRF with our meds stuff.

I shall have a serious tantrum if we don't get invited to the PPR party too!!

Well done again and enjoy...

CONGRATULATIONS ON PPR.

How much did your medicals cost in slough? how long did you have to wait for appointment?

Hi

Thanks for all your kind comments.

Well we had a good night. We couldn't get any baby sitters at short notice, so stayed in with a bottle of champagne and an indian take away and watched Canadian Bacon! It's my birthday on the 12th so is like a seriously cool early birthday present.

To Butch - We're going to explore Novia Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island some time in the summer. We went to Ontario in 2004 (Toronto, Algonquin, Ottawa and Niagara), so just want so see some more of Canada before we decide where to settle.

To Jempee - Medicals in Slough costed: £100 per adult and £50 per child for the actual medicals, £45 per adult for X-Ray (not required for children, also we went to The Bridge Clinic in Maidenhead as Nuffield was closed), I can't remember exactly how much the blood tests were, around the £40 mark I think (again only required for adults). Quite an expensive day out! The surgery itself was fine. We just had to wait in a lounge area with sofas etc and take it turns to be examined by the Doctor (and yes, he did examine down there! :scared:

Well Jenwren has started the trend. I really hope that snowqueen and kuljit get their requests soon (and everyone else of course, but I've been following their cases). I also don't want to be responsible for any damage caused by tantrums!

So now it's loads and loads of research, telling relatives etc.

Good luck everyone.

Congratulations on your PPR, ours will be ages away as we are only just getting all the paperwork together......

We will join the long list of people waiting for 36-39 months, but hey it will be worth it in the end.

Good luck and enjoy Canada
