Hello!

I applied to Singapore CHC in August 2005. Nothing got to hear yet except the AOR.

All the best.

It said,
"...we expect to issue to you medical instructions sometime in (2008). At that time you will also be instructed as to any further information required to assess your application against the financial, security and criminal requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations."

cheers,

Hi Afzal,

I have 3 Singapore applicant friends-who got their PPR within 6-9 months of getting their IA. all of them had started their application process between
Mar'03- Oct'03.

I guess and hope they will not drag us to 2008 for medicals. My friends were also told in Mar/Apr 2006- that they will get med request sometime in 2007. but all process was done for them by oct 06-Jan 07.

wishful thinking...

best of luck

I hope you are right! At least, they wouldn't push us to the bottom of 2008 for PPR.

Cheers,

Hi fellow applicants

I have applied in April 2004 but am currently residing overseas due to hubby's work. In the meantime, I have rented my place out so can't really know if I hve gotten the IA yet since I can't send someone to collect mail everyday. Can I just check with you guys-

1) for the IA, is there any action that need to be taken once received? (eg. do you need to sign or send back anything?)

2) Do they update the online status check diligently? This is impt since its the only way I can check my applic status

Thanks a lot!

..........
1) No,
2) No.

I used my brother's mailing address who is in Canada (because our postal service in Bangladesh is not so reliable and we often lose our mail). You can use any mailing address which is reliable and quick reachable.

regards,

Afzalulh

A friend of mine with July 2004 AOR had got his IA recently.
In a telephone conversation they said that they plan to finalize his case by the end of this year.

thanks

jb.

Emailed to CHC S'pore regarding my change of address and also asked if there were any progress. They sent me IA two days later informing that medicals will only be required in 2008. BTW, does anyone knows the cost of doing medicals in S'pore? I understand there are only a few doctors on the approved panel fro their website. Was wondering if its going to be a bomb..

I have done medical in Singapore for my children's studebt pass. It was not very expensive (i think less then S$ 150.00 per person).

I went to a doctor in the Shaw centre just opposit orchard MRT station.
