Hi all
,
I am Indian Citizen, residing in India. I have applied for Canadian
Immigration under the skilled category from Buffalo, NY. My interview
was held in LA on OCT 29 2002. At the end of the interview, I was
infmd by the visa officer that my employment details will be verified
and that i shall be hearing from the Ottawa office WITHIN 4 months of
completion of the medicals asking for the passports for stamping of
the PR. However I was not asked to deposit the ROLF.To this i informed
the visa officer that the medicals were done in Sept,2002. She Added
"well then in three months". Also please note that she did not know
until i told her that the medicals were alreqady done as she had in
the course of the interview asked me if the medicals for my family
were done?
1) What should i make of the interview?? possitive or negative?
2) Do they not do the checks before the interview??
3) Can they maintain the timeframe that i have been given?
4) Do you think i should apply for CAIPS?
Thanks
Kanwaljit

1) Hard to tell - but usually when interviewing officer concludes interview
without saying that such was a pass, but instead says that decision will be
made later it is not a good sign.
2) They do, but certain things during the interview may have triggered some
doubts.
3) Nobody knows
4) Highly advised to do so as soon as possible and have your entire case
fully assessed by a professional, just in case of possible refusal as time
will be short for any action then.

Hi Andrew,
Since the file is still under process,
1) Would not getting a copy of the file delay the processing??
2) Can a printout of the CAIPS be helpful??
3) Can requesting of the CAIPS printout delay matters any further?
4) Can you assist in getting CAIPS and interpretting? if so what are youyr charges?
Thanks
Kanwaljit
