my timeline is in my signature in my opinion London were super fast and they had to request i pay my landing fee inbetween.
Milka i applied over the christmas period when they were shut for for 4 days over xmas and then new year it didnt affect my case at all in regards to time.

Sent passport today, will be landing the weekend after I get it back (quick drive down to Buffalo).
Police check cost me some time, but right now i'm not bothered about that. After 3-4 years of planning and the stress of a failed Conjugal app, it's a weird feeling that what's been at the back of my mind all this time is nearly at an end.

Congratulations Jane, I hope things go well for you. The posts on this thread are all applying in the Family Class. ie. we are married to or in a relationship with a Canadian spouse, so we are very lucky to have our applications fast tracked. Although it still seems like forever to us (At this point skilled worker applicants would laugh hysterically, and cry with disbelief...those poor folks have to wait around 4 years!)
My husband has just gone back to Toronto as he is starting a new job, and I'm feeling a tad sad, as I've been left behind, and we had hoped to be starting out in Canada together. ( He hasn't lived there for 14 years, so it's all a little new to him too.)
I'm keeping busy cleaning up the house, and packing everything for storage, as I'm moving in with a friend for the duration, but it's hard being apart, and not being able to chat whenever I want....mobiles being sooooo expensive out there!
Seven weeks at London now.....still waiting!
