Sent letter to withdraw application and....
Dear All,
My wife and I decided to withdraw our sponsor application due to some unforseen events and two days later I checked the e-client status and it was 'Decision Made'! One can only withdraw an appplication only while 'In Status'. Funily enough, things had turn around very quickly and we still want to move to Canada. Funny I know! Lets assume the application was accepted. What will happen now? Will the process be stopped, we loose the money and that is it? Or since one cannot withdraw an application while 'Decision Made' the process will still continue and the letter is ignored? Should maybe we write back to them and inform them we wish to continue with process? Please, I would appreciate any advice on this funny (and sad) move. Thanks a lot Stefan |

Fax the office handling the application and tell them you want to withdraw. As long as the visa has not been issued, there should be no problems. You will not receive your application fees back, only the RPRF fee. PMM |

Dear Stefan:
Your Assessment letter maybe enroute. You may want to fax a letter and indicate that you wish to continue with the process, and sit and wait for a response from CIC. Thanks PMM for your answer.
I think I was unclear. My wife (she is Canadian) is sponsoring me and we are living outside of Canada. We cannot find a direct telephone line, fax or email were we can contact the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga as from outside Canada we can only directly contact Rome. We sent a letter of withdrawal to the CPC two days before the 'Decision Made' status showed up in the e-client online services on the CIC website. We now want them to disregard that letter as we want to continue with the process. Its true we do not know the outcome of the decison yet as the letter they sent is still on the way. But if it was a positve letter, then we want to continue. We are afraid that they will now stop the process and lose the money when they recieve that letter. We are not sure what course of action we should take... Thanks for your help. Re: Sent letter to withdraw application and....
Dear Lori,
Thank you for your response. I think I will wait for their letter to arrive and see their decision, and then I'll send the fax telling them to continue with the process (always if it is a positive decision from their side). I hope it will not be that late then!
