Schedule 1 Background/Declaration?

Guys,
I got a letter today (19 days later after I received a letter to submit medicals) from the Canadian Consulate telling me to fill out Schedule 1 Background/Declaration form. A lot of the information there I have already submitted before in my original application. I don't know why they are repeating themselves again. Is this a standard procedure?
Also, the medical exam is going to cost me $355.00 (what a rip-off). I was wondering if my health insurance will cover some of that expense.
Thank you.

Well you can always just let your application lapse. No one will mind and
you'll save the $355.

If you are going to be a f---ing smartass, then get this: You can always pack up your bags and go back to Europe or wherever the hell you came from...that way Canadian Indians can live safer and don't have to worry about the white cops dropping them in the middle of nowhere to freeze their asses to death.
f--- you...
f--- you...

Health insurance in the US most likely will not cover the cost of the
medical exam.
You are not consulting a physician due to any health concerns - it is an
immigration matter and health insurance will not cover it.
As for the cost, $355 is quite standard.
However, it always pays to shop around.
Depending on where you live, there may be several DMP doctors in your state.
Check with all of them - it may be cheaper to drive 100 miles to a different
doctor.
If your application includes a family like wife and kids, the savings can be
significant.
