I have a question regarding the processing times at Buffalo office.
I'm Bulgarian and I leave and work (computer programmer) in Montreal
since January 2001 with my family.
My son is 1 year old and he is a Canadian citizen.
I obtained the CAQ for me and my wife in April 2002.
The Buffalo office started processing my application in 01 October
2002.
We submitted the medicals and the police clearance in October 2002.
In April 2003 I received a letter stating the need of security
interview scheduled for June 2003.
There is already 3 months that I have made the interview and I have no
received any other information from Buffalo.
Our medicals will expire in one month.
Do you have any idea what we must expect and how much time?
Thank you.

VN, no one can tell you how much time it could be.
I'm Ukrainan and I'm here since 2000, my daughter will be 2 in one month
, I live in St-Jerome. We got CSQ in Nov 2001, documents out to Buffalo
in Jan 2002, AOR + Medical + interview waiver in May 2002 and I never
heard from them back ever since.
Tried to ask for new medical forms but I guess my fax was dumped along
with hundreds of other faxes. The word is that if you stay in Canada all
time
during processing and you have excellent medical results the validity of
medical
exam can be extended for a few months.
The best thing you can do is to get CAIPS notes report and see what's
happening to your case. I expect mine to arrive in the next 2 weeks.

Please visit http://www.caipsnotes.com/ or
http://www.caips.ca/whatiscaips.shtml
for explanation. If you want the instruction on how to get them on your own,
check out the first site as they offer the instructions how to do it. You
will probably
need a help form a friend who is PR or canadian citizen to request them.
