Default Returning to Canada without a child's PR card

Hi,

We landed last September, but were forced to return to the UK due to a bereavement. We had received 3 of our PR cards before we left but got sent a new photo request for one of our children. Now what we need to know is will be be able to return without his PR card and then sort it out when we are there or do we need to try and sort it out before we return?

Our problem is we will not have a Canadian address for it to be sent to - well we could maybe use a friends?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Counting the days to go back and start again - again!!!

Providing the airline lets you board then you are ok to return to Canada and apply for the PR card once in Canada.
This is what the CIC site officially says in your case
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informa...ons/travel.asp
However lots have travelled back without PR cards.
Its an airline requirement so without a valid PR card you could be denied boarding but most major airlines dont ask about status in Canada.

And if you are a UK citizen you can enter Canada on your UK passport as a visitor anyway - so you should be good to go. If you have a copy of the COPR for the child, then take that along with you as well.
